study for becoming a nutrition expert

hi , i want to know what should the path to become an expert in nutrition and diets . what are the available courses which will help to attain knowledge for  the same . ( preferably in kolkata , w.b. india )

There should be plenty of universities that teach sports science with the emphasis on nutrition.

I am not sure what you want to do, if you want to become a full time dietician and advise completely on diet /nutrition you will need to become a registered dietician. If you want to become a sports nutrition expert and advise athletes on sports teams, you will need to first obtain a sports science degree.

I am not sure of the governing bodies for nutrition and dietician certification in India, your local university or government body should do that.

But I thin the best way to go is to embark on a sports science degree either way.
