Linebacker training and Diet

Question
Hello, im not here to ask a question on how to train to be in great linebacker shape, but more on what to eat throughout the day in order to pack on pounds while weightlifting. Im currently 6"2 and at roughly 200 lbs, i was at 215 however, due to mono and an injury i suppose i lost some muscle along with weight in general. My diet is pretty healthy, i don't eat fast food, rarely eat junk food, and rarely drink soda. Therefore, what types of foods, and how many calories a day should i consume in order to be at 220 lean muscular physique by lets say mid july?

Answer
Hi,

Can you supply me with your age and how much training you are doing at the moment per week, and break it down into weights and aerobics for me, thanks.

But without that info I would say if you are a competitive athlete, you will need to consume somewhere around 2500-3000 calories a day min. 60% should be lean protein such as chicken, turkey, pork and lean beef. 30% should be complex carbs such as whole meal cereal/bread/pasta for energy required to workout that much. 10% will be fat based foods.

Thanks.
