Recommend Nutrition Books

Question
Hello Laurie,

I have regular workouts at gym for over three years and am moderately successful in keeping me fit. I am now 27, 168cm, 68 kg, with 18% body fat. For the past year, I had been trying to lower my bodyfat further and increase muscle mass but was not successful. It appears that I have reached a plateau. I very much suspect that is because of my lack of understanding and practice in proper nutrition. Although I am aware of general nutrition guidelines, they alone are not enough for me to put into practice. And for long I have not bothered to investigate into the knowledge of nutrition.

That's why I am considering to study nutrition. I have searched for nutrition college textbooks but more or less one expert or another commented on serious flaws in those books. I am at a loss which book might best serve my interest. Could you help recommend a proper book for my situation?

Many thanks in advance.

Answer
Dear Erik

The leading sports nutrition expert in dietetics is Nancy Clark and she wrote a highly recommended book, appropriately titled "Nancy Clark's Sports Nutrition Guidebook".
Amazon readers gave it an overwhelming 5 star rating with a few 4 stars mixed in, but nothing lower!  This read will probably answer a lot of the questions you have.
