Gaining Weight!

Question
I am a 5'5" female and typically find a balanced weight at about 130 lbs when workingout lightly and watching what I eat. My goal weight is to weigh about 120 lbs. About two months ago I weighed 128lbs, at this point I began taking Accutane and switched my birth control to Microgestin. Six weeks ago I began a workout plan, p90x in the a.m. and continued boxing classes in the p.m. I typically workout 1-2 times a day 5-6 times a week. I also refined my diet by only eating complex carbs and low sugar. I eat about 1400 calories a day usually broken down as follows: 35g fat/85g carbs/120g protein. Two weeks ago I weighed 136 lbs (that's up 6 lbs in six weeks) and decided to stop my accutane and birth control. Now, two weeks later from stopping my medication, and six weeks into working out more and eating healthier I weigh 138.6lbs. This is more than 10 lbs weight gain in two months. This is a high weight for me and I have not weigh this much in two years. What should I do?

first thins In would ask yourself. How are your clothes fitting. Dont pay attention to the scale. What is the size of you doing? It is very possible to losing dress size and be heavier. Muscle is  more dense than fat meaning 5 lbs of muscle is much smaller than 5 lbs of fat.

So your could be re shaping your body your could be very much at a lower body fat percentage and smaller then you were despite being heavier. I have had numerous women come in and made then lose all the size, attain the clothes they want to fit in and get the look they wanted and felt they had to lose " : this much weight to attain by actually making them heavier, the were heavier and much smaller and toned by training hard and heavy.

Thats what I would look at. The other thing id look at would be upping protein maybe a bit and for sure fat in take but lower the carbs and make then nearly all green leafy veggies with occasional fruits. I would NOT lower your calories any more then you have they are already low, lower then I normally have a client go.

Other then that look at what I suggested to see where you really are and maybe get your body fat tested by an accurate measure (DEXA or ultrasound) and measurements done to gauge progress and throw the scale in the trash
