protein intake

Question
hello, i was wondering what the reccomended amount of protein is for the average male that is excercising to build strength and muscle, does it vary from the the average male that doesnt work out, is there a max amount of protein the body can process before it is turned into waste or stored as fat

Answer
Hi,

If you are lifting weights regularly you will need about 1.5 grams of protein per 1 kilo gram of body weight. So divide your body weigh tin pounds by 2.2. Then multiple your kilogram body weight by 1.5 and that will be a more accurate amount of protein to consume per day.

Also remember your body can only consume a certain number of grams per meal, about 50-70 grams depending on body type.

Thanks.
