proper diet while reviewing for exams

Question
hi. i'm a 27 year-old female. i manage to lose 30lbs through diet and exercise. right now, i'm starting to review for the bar exams so i decided to lessen my exercise routine to focus more on my review. my question is,what diet should i take which is good for my memory and concentration while reviewing and at the same time not to gain weight? Thank you very much. God Bless

Answer
Hi Cristy Ann,

First of all, congratulations on your weight loss success.  While time is certainly very valuable right now, consider how you can keep burning extra calories within your lifestyle.. things like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or walking instead of taking the bus a few stops can really add up!

To my knowledge there are not specific foods that really will boost your memory. There are foods rumored to do so, but there are so many variables it's practically guaranteed not to work! The best will be eating what works for you and what you are used to. For instance, if you are used to eating breakfast you will continue to feel better when you do so and worse when you don't.
If you don't eat enough (go too long without a meal) and your hunger distracts you, that will become an issue.

Keeping your routine to 4-5 small meals each day with a small amount of protein, fat and carbs at each sitting should keep you feeling alert and not too full.

Good luck to you on your Bar!
