nutrition supplements for muscle building

Question
I notice I have lost some weight and muscle over the past year. My GP has checked and nothing untoward has been found and I appear now to be stable. Maybe age issue {79} but I see the difference in what I can do in the weight room at the gym. What supplement would you suggest to add muscle ? I am 5ft.7 in and weigh 146 lbs. I was around 155 lbs a year ago.

Answer
Russel-

Really nothing but food and smart free weight based training. I would have you take the staples I have every client take creatine monohydrate (morem so for all the general cognitive and bone health they are finding from it now, a fish oil and a multi-vitmain. Other than that it would be food whole foods based in proteins and fats first then your green veggies and fruit.

As for your age of course that's an issue and first thing I would do is demand my GOP take a full hormonal profile and get the levels that are low back to where they should be which will do a lot for your health and physique
