Question
I'm 5'5" and 145 pounds.Im 17 yrs old. I want to lose at least 20 pounds before August 25th. Everytime I start my diet I cheat. I cheat every 3 days and its like Im exercising for no reason because I keep craving junk food.I only feel bad after Im done cheating. My mom buys junkfood and she says that just because im on a diet doesnt mean she has to be on one. What else can I do to lose 20 pounds? Like a different exercise? How do I stop craving bad food?

Answer
You answered your own question: STOP CHEATING! :)

You need to eat. You can't lose weight in a HEALTHY manner if you starve yourself. You need to eat the right foods though: lean protein, vegetables, healthy carbs. See my web site for a list of what's good and what's bad.

When you get HUNGRY, eat a meal, or at least grab an apple or banana. MUCH better than junk food.

And 25 pounds before Aug 25 is going to be VERY difficult. I only recommend you lose a pound or two a week. Anything more usually involves starving yourself which isn't healthy. You can safely lose 10 to 15 pounds by then, though... which is still great!
