Eating on a budget

Question
Hi Lawrence. I've been eating on a budget for the last 6 weeks being in underweight (I'm 22y old /male, my weight is 119 pounds and height is about 5 ft 9). I've always been skinny, but I lost a few pounds since I started eating on budget. My diet is mainly based on spaghetti (I eat it almost every day), cornmeal, rice once day in the week and meat 2 or 3 days in the week. I used to get more meat, candies, chocolate desserts and potatoes. Although I only lost a few pounds I'm starting to miss them. I feel weak and tired sometimes. I can see my bones more clearly. I got bags under my eyes.My brother is also following the same diet and like me, he thinks he looks skinnier and has lost weight. We got 3 weeks to go to resume our regular diet and we've wondering what are the risks of keeping up with our current diet for the following weeks.

You need to eat a well balanced healthy diet consisting of Carbohydrates,Protein,Fat,Fiber and these need to be eaten at every meal. 119 at 5ft 9 is a little low. You should be around 125lbs on the low side. My suggestion is to eat.I would also tell you to go to a doctor to get a check up if you have not had one for a while. The biggest problem is carbohydrates do not stay in your body very long and a person with a high metabolism burns them off very quickly. I see that you are eating lots of carbohydrates.

Good luck
