reducing inflammation

Question
Hello. I had an elevated CRP (marker for internal inflammation)I'm wondering what foods I can eat and which I should avoid to reduce inflammation in the body.

I'm a 39 year old female. Healthy weight and active. I do have slightly elevated cholesterol though.

Thank you

Answer
Hello Jami,

Everyone reacts differently to different foods, so there's no telling what would be specific to you, personally.

There are general guidelines (reduce intake of Omega-6 oils like corn oils and those in processed foods; increase intake of omega-3 oils, found in nuts, seafood and flaxseeds).

There is also a test called LEAP Mediator Release Testing. You can read about it here and hopefully contact a dietitian in your area who can help administer the test and results.
