low blood sugar

Question
I have diabetes type 2 recently my blood sugar readings in mid day at 400 are 107.i never had blood sugar drop like this.i usually only take 4 units of novolog before dinner.at midnight I have to take sweets so my blood sugar wont drop so low.had recent blood tests all normal

Answer
Hello  Howard,
When someone keeps getting low blood sugar readings, the answer is not to eat sweets. The answer is to go back to your doctor with the readings and get your medication adjusted. Having lower glucose readings recently can be a result of weight loss. Have you been losing weight?

You need to make an appointment with your health care professional to review your diet, medication and blood sugar readings.
