Question
QUESTION: hi i am 19 i will be 20 in six weeks i am 209 pounds and i used to be 189 in October i was losing a lot of weight but then my sleep schedule changed then i started to gained i a lot of weight i wanted to lose 60 pounds by June 27 but i didn't i keep gaining weight i really want to lose 20 -25 pounds by then is there a way i can lose 20-25 pounds in six weeks?

ANSWER: Hey, Sandire. My obvious question is - why did you sleep schedule change? Is there any way to go back to that old schedule? Indeed, sleep is very important to losing weight - more important than people think and almost as important as regular, intensive exercise. During deep sleep a growth hormone is released which contributes to metabolism and burning of fat, so you must make sure that you sleep at those hours when your body needs it the most.

Please let me know, and I will follow up.

p.s. Losing 25 pounts is 6 weeks would be quite a challenge if you want to do it the only right way - naturally. I believe you should be aiming at 2-3 pounds or so per week and not more. Patience in these things is much more important than quick results.

QUESTION: i dropped out of school and when i did i started sleeping late
and staying up late. so now i i go to bed at 4am and wake up about around 3pm but now i get up around 12 or 1pm. so how do i lose 3 pounds a week and if i lose 18 will i be able to tell because it don;t seem like much.

also my workout i will try to walk 2 miles a day then do low intensity cardio and strength training tabeoo, and bun and thighs. but i really want to lose my stomach first then everything else
ANSWER: Hey, Sandire. 18 lbs is a lot of weight to lose and you will certainly feel it.

First, you must commit to getting up early at any cost! If you start getting up early (No later than 8 am but preferrably 7), you will be compelled to go to bed at midnight or so. Sleeping till later hours of the morning is a harmful thing for MANY reasons and not losing weight is the smallest one of all of them so cut this habit as soon as possible!

2. Low intensity cardio is NOT the best solution for losingweight.
Combining weight training with short HIGH intensity cardio is MUCH better for weight loss. This is a well known fact and you can search google for "interval training" to learn more about the kinds and the benefits of interval traning.

You cannot target areas of your body for weight loss. Generally, people lose weight from the areas where they gained it the most recently. But the good news is that if most of your fat is in the abdominal area, it will likely be lost from that area as well.

Thanks, and I hope this helps. If not, please follow up.

Answer
I am not familiar with that DVD, Sandire, but hight intensity cardio with strength training, proper nutrition and consistent sleep schedule where you don't sleep into late morning hours will get you the results!
