Question
hi there again i sent you an email yesterday and i thank you for such a rapid response.  I was wondering though if you could make any recommendations or give any advice. And generally as the surgeons code of practice even if it is in the us can you tell me your obligation as the surgeon.  thanks,  its just i am in the dark about this subject but i dont want to apply and/or compare your code of practice in the us to those of the uk. thank you.

Answer
Carole,
I still want to tread lightly on this subject, but what I can say is that generally work on fee for service basis, which means they get paid for each thing they do.  Usually in medical and surgical care, there is not a "warranty" that would obligate a surgeon to provide additional care without charge, even if the required care arises from a previous surgical procedure by that surgeon.

I hope this is helpful...
