Lori’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I’ve been overweight since the age of 10 so I have been unhappy with my weight for most of my life.

What made you decide to lose weight?
I went to a doctor’s appointment and I was over 300 pounds. The heaviest I had ever been was 270 so I was shocked!

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I began making better food choices, drinking water, and exercising daily. I also began writing down EVERYTHING that went into my mouth.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
I had a hard time keeping a positive attitude during the weeks that the scale didn’t show a loss.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
2 months.

2 years and 2 months.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I am not at my goal weight of 160, yet.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I recently got married to the man of my dreams. I would not have married him before because I didn’t love myself and could not love him, either.

How did ShapeFit help you reach your weight loss goals?
ShapeFit keeps me informed with all the articles about healthy eating and exercise. I love how ShapeFit has explained the importance of weight training DURING weight loss. So many people believe they should wait until they have lost all of the weight to “tone up” but ShapeFit explains differently.
