Brandon’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
On my 27th birthday.

What made you decide to lose weight?
I woke up one day and looked in the mirror and for the first time in my life I saw what other people saw, and I didn’t like what that was. I knew I needed to change, not only for myself at that moment in my life but for the family I would have in the future.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I joined a local 24 hour gym.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
I thought giving up sodas and pasta would be the hardest. I never thought I would have a strong enough mindset to achieve that, but from day one I never picked up a soda and its been 2 years so far.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
I saw real results in the first 2 months.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
22 months.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
22 months. I fell in love with my gym and I surrounded myself with people who would push me and help me rise to be the best I could be.

What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
When I look in the mirror I love who I am and who I am becoming.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?

Yes, that was great but the most important thing I found from it was the way it changed my view on life. The way I look at the world now as compared to before is so different. Each day I wake up I’m excited about life!

Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
You have to truly want it. Talking about it gets you nowhere. You have to want it, you have to live it, you have to do it! Once I believed that and I did it, everything fell into place. I fell in love with health and fitness and now I breathe it day in and day out.

Weight loss tip #1:

Drink lots of water.

Weight loss tip #3:
Go to the gym every day, even if you don’t feel like it. Once you step into the gym, it’s like magic and you will want to do something which is better than nothing.

Weight loss tip #4:
Surround yourself with people who believe in you, inspire you and lift you up.

Weight loss tip #5:
Have a cheat day once a week, it won’t kill you.

Brandon’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!

Breakfast:

Lunch:
Grilled chicken, veggies and a salad.

Dinner:
Fish or chicken and veggies.

Snacks or Mini Meals:
Fruit, protein shakes.

Brandon’s Weight Loss Workouts!

Weight Training:
I have not started lifting weights yet.

Cardiovascular:
I do cardio every day and I love doing interval training. My workout is a total of 20 minutes on the treadmill. I walk at a good pace for 1 minute and then run at about 7 mph for 1 minute. I also like doing interval training on the stationary bike for 7 miles or doing the elliptical machine for 30 minutes.
