I was never truly happy, but the breaking point was at 270 pounds and realizing I couldn’t have children.

What made you decide to lose weight?
My marriage was rocky and a doctor told us we couldn’t have children because of my size and health.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Fitness tracking! I tracked my calories consumed, my calories burned, and started shopping smarter. I also started an online blog for friends and family to see my progress.

Emilee’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!

Breakfast:
emilee-weight-loss-story-5Egg white omelet with chopped peppers, or whole wheat pita with hummus, or whole grain old fashioned oatmeal with a side of whole grain toast.

Lunch:
I go green with lunches! It’s typically a Greek salad with olives, vinaigrette dressing, tomatoes and chopped vegetables.

Dinner:
Lean meats like turkey or chicken (sometimes beef) with sauteed vegetables on the side. I also love homemade crockpot soups (good for running).

Snacks or Mini Meals:
Fruits are good snacks for me. I keep them sitting on my kitchen island. I also like to snack on seaweed crisps from Trader Joe’s.

Nutritional Supplements:
Just a good old multivitamin with a little extra vitamin D and B12 on the side.

Emilee’s Weight Loss Workouts!

Weight Training:
Fast paced interval training involving Pilates and yoga. I also use a home weight machine for more muscle building workouts.

Cardiovascular:
Running is my top cardio exercise. I also have a stationary bike that I use regularly when I’m not running.
