Kevin’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I always knew I needed to lose weight and get control of my diet. A job loss at the end of last year along with anxiety attacks got me started.

What made you decide to lose weight?
I suppose it was going to be easier to get hired as a fit guy rather than a fat guy. I also needed to feel better about myself and overcome some personal limitations.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I changed my fat intake. I kept a food journal for 26 weeks and will do it again if I need to. I also wear a pedometer and walk a minimum of 10,000 steps a day.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
So far, I haven’t found any really.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
I felt results immediately and others started to comment at about 6 weeks. Then I started to see it.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
11 months.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I’m still maintaining. I’ve slowed down on the weight loss because I simply made a lifestyle change and stayed committed.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I can bend over in the driver’s seat and pick up the cell phone I just dropped on the floor without pulling over and getting out to get it. I can ski all day long and then go again the next day. I can be proud of myself. I don’t think about how far something is, I just ride my bike or walk there. I can go on and on!
