Priyanka’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I saw my picture.

What made you decide to lose weight?
It started the day when I saw my pictures and it made me realize that I have to do something.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I joined a nearby gym (Fitness First) and started doing weights and cardio sessions. I tried different classes to add spice to my workout and when I got bored I switched to power walking and swimming. I changed my diet to a more healthy one. I avoided oily food, junk food and sugary drinks. I added protein, carbs, salad (fiber) and fruits (sweet) and I started losing weight.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
Avoiding cakes.

3 months.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
1 year.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I exercise everyday and eat healthy.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I look much better now. I can wear my favorite clothes. I also get lovely compliments from near and dear.

Breakfast:
Brown bread and egg whites.

Lunch:
Brown rice and chicken or fish.

Roti (flatbread), veggies and dal (dried beans, lentils).

Snacks or Mini Meals:
Salad platter and oatmeal.

Weight Training:
3 days a week. I do full body weight training.

Cardiovascular:
I love spinning and aerobics classes. I include them 3 days a week.
