Sher’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I was studying at the university, I was slim and at a healthy weight of 105 pounds since I lead a hectic and active lifestyle on campus.

What made you decide to lose weight?
When I realized that I had gained too much weight and couldn’t fit into my clothes. There was one incident where someone thought I was pregnant. I was so embarrassed that I decided then and there that I did not want to look like that and I needed to put in some effort to lose my flab.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Initially, I was into meal replacements and I managed to lose 11 pounds. However, I started to count calories and began preparing healthy food for myself. The good progress encouraged me to get active as well to help me lose more pounds.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
There are moments where you feel too tired to move and it is more of a motivational reason. I set fitness goals to motivate myself to perform regular workouts and I know that after doing a workout I always feel better.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
Two weeks, as I noticed there was a decrease in the number on the scale. It took about two months for family and friends to notice it.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
I started out in October 2013 and reached my current weight of 114 pounds in May 2014.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I am still in the midst of reaching my target goal of 105 pounds. I plan to maintain it once I reach the desired weight.

What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
For health reasons. I have never felt so great! I have a lot of energy and my eyesight has improved since I lost weight. Physically, I’m more fit and I feel good.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I have since maintained an active lifestyle and I have made permanent changes in my eating choices. Fitness and healthy living is my main priority now.

Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Initially there may be challenges but you will smile at the end since all of your efforts will finally come through and it will be worth it.

Breakfast:
Chocolate Lean Shake and 10 grams of instant oats.

Lunch:
Salad with a protein (fish, steak, steamed chicken), sweet potatoes, blanched broccoli and stir fried zucchini.

Dinner:
Stir fried chicken with green veggies and clear soup.

Snacks or Mini Meals:
1 cup papaya, 1 cup guava, yogurt, Lean shake (cookies and cream).

Nutritional Supplements:
I don’t take any supplements.
