David’s Weight Loss Interview!

How much did you lose?
I lost a total of 105 pounds (and counting). My neck went from a size 20 to a 17.5 and my waist went from a size 52 to a size 38. My shirt size went from a 3X-4X to a L/XL.

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I have had weight issues my entire life.

What made you decide to lose weight?
I was tired of being overweight. I also walk a lot for my job and the stress on my back, knees and ankles was an issue.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Eating healthy was the key. My plan was based on the Whole30.com website and the book called “It Starts with Food“.

What was the most challenging thing you had to deal with during your weight loss journey?
The first month of the plan was tough as I was detoxing my body from all of the toxins (sugar, salt, etc).

How long did it take you to start to see results?
2 weeks.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
I started October 1, 2014 and hit 105 pounds lost this month (May 10), so it took me 32 weeks to lose the weight.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and what are the most important factors for keeping it off?
I am still in the weight loss phase but I do know that keeping it off will be the key.

What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
How I look, how I feel and my overall confidence.

How has your life changed now that you have lost weight?
I am healthier, have more energy and look better.

Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
The things that worked for me were setting obtainable goals, working with a coach, weighing in at an outside location, staying mentally strong through the process and celebrating wins.

How did ShapeFit help you reach your weight loss goals?
