There are a good number of books out there written specifically on weight loss. Some of them are ok, some are duds and then there are the great ones! Finding the best book can be a tiring job. As a rule of thumb, I always give a book a read if one of my friends recommends it. This has led to some amazing discoveries in the world of literature for me (also some amazing discoveries about my friends too!) so here are a few great weight loss books reviewed for your benefit.

1. The Complete Idiot's Guide to Losing Weight" by Susan McQuillian, RD and Edward Saltzman, MD: the title just checks your sense of humor. The book is not for idiots at all. It covers all the essential areas like exercise, nutritional and lifestyle changes. There is a variety of weight loss programs and workout routines that a lot of different people can benefit from. In addition to this, it also has great features like NutriTip" and "No Weigh". All in all the book is a great help and very motivating if you're looking to loose weight in a healthy manner.

2. "The 'Prevention' Lose Weight Guidebook" ed. "Prevention" Editorial Staff: this is the book of weight loss stories. If you love to read about how people lost weight, this book is for you.
