How To Shed 20 Pounds When You Have No Time To Spare

One of the biggest things that gets in the way of fitness is life itself. Whether you’re running around with the kids, studying, putting in overtime at the office or trying to get through your housework, working out may have little to no place in your schedule.

Chelsea Streifeneder, a Pilates instrutor in New York City knows the struggle all too well. So she has offered to help busy people shed 20 pounds in just two months without taking up too much time in their day. Here is Chelsea’s advice for getting a better body with minimal effort:

“I start my day at 5 a.m. or earlier, and I’m going until 8 or 9 p.m. at night, seven days a week.” says the 31-year-old. “I needed something practical that I could fit in wherever, whenever. I didn’t have 20 minutes or 30 minutes, but 10 minutes a day? That I could do.”

Chelsea began doing 10 minute HIIT style routines that she could smash as she got ready in the morning, or on her lunch break.

“They hit everything. Your arms, your legs, your belly—and I didn’t have to go to the gym. I could workout in the 10-minute window I have between clients—it was great.”

The routines involved strength training that can be done without any equipment. This includes planks, squats and lunges.

Within two months, Chelsea had shed 20 pounds! And she hadn’t missed an hour of work, or burn herself out.

“There was a red dress hanging in the back of my closet I hadn’t been able to get into, and now it zips. I’m even fitting back into my jeans from high school.” she beams.

What are your thoughts? Have you ever tried HIIT workouts?
