A good way to start exercising is walking either slow or at a fast pace, you can build up from there, you will feel much more healthy after a brisk walk and you would have just burnt off calories without really noticing, next time you are just sitting down doing nothing but watching telly just get up and go out for a long walk, and you will feel so much better for having done so.

Once you feel you are getting fitter you might want to try something a bit more challenging like skipping, this is a fantastic way to burn calories and to achieve your goal to loose weight, you can start off very gentle on you own to get used to it, just do a few minuets at a time and build up from there, this is a great example of how weight loss can be fun.

You do not need to join a gym or buy any fancy gadgets or machines to lose weight, everything you need is all around you, if we use our imagination we can come up with loads of fun things to do to lose weight and burn those calories, we have already covered walking and skipping, next time you go to have a sneaky snack or a reach for that bar of chocolate just grab your skipping rope instead, you will be amazed at how good you will feel about yourself after.

Did you know one of the best exercises you can do in your own home or at work is climbing stairs, it is a super cardio workout, not only that it also tones up all the muscles in your legs, next time you go to go up in a lift take the stairs instead or start at home and go up and down the stairs more often than you normally would, the next time you go up stairs take notice of the feeling in you legs, you can actually feel the muscles working as you climb, this again is a great way to lose weight.

Swimming is a fantastic way to get fit, and it will help you lose weight and just feel so much more healthy and good about yourself, some people find it a bit daunting at first putting on their swim suit in front of everybody else, please do not let this stop you after the first few times you will not notice this as you will be feeling good about yourself, you can burn off hundreds of calories just by doing a gentle breaststroke for a half an hour, and you will be toning up all your muscles at the same time.

If you are feeling really adventurous you can try your hand at cycling this is also a great way to burn fat and lose weight, and you can go at a gentle pace until you get used to it,

There are lots of interesting ways to lose weight these are just a few of them to get you started, please remember weight loss can be fun, you do not have to give up everything you like in order to lose weight, just a well balanced diet and plenty of exercise is all you really need.
