Can You Trust Low Fat High Carb Diet To Lose Weight?

I intend to use this article to set the record straight and end your weight loss frustration once and for all. We were all told that in order to lose the belly we should focus on low fat diet, not realizing that most low fat diet is very high in carbs, and that's the real culprit.

It was rather frustrating to me when my gut continued to expand although I drastically changed my diet to so- called low fat or fat free diet. That's when I started my intense research that revealed to me my overwhelming consumption of carbohydrates which was defeating my whole weight loss effort.

The primary contributor to fat in our body is the refined, processed, artificial chemical filled substances that food manufacturers use to replace natural healthy food. The cereal, refined grains, flour, sugar, pastas, juices, fat-free products, sodas and practically all that they approved for us to consume are all playing a part in making us fat or otherwise unhealthy and making our lives miserable.

Sad, but true. There are big businesses among us cashing in heartily on our simplicity and strong desire to lose weight and get well, and now is the time to take individual responsibility of what we allow to enter our bodies.

A low fat diet that is high in carbohydrate will not get rid of your fat belly, heavy thigh and over weight condition. As the quality of our food decreases, so does the quality of human life. The mass producers of food are trying to keep up with the growth of the population and the unfortunate result is evident in the way we look and feel.

Carbohydrate is essential in your body but within controlled measure because consuming too much will trick your body into not burning the stored fat as its source of energy but rather depends on sugar as fuel.

The main food source for the brain is glucose which is a by product of carbohydrate in your body. The unused glucose is now stored as glycogen in the muscles and liver but only the stored glycogen in the liver can be reused by the brain after it is converted back to glucose.

Glycogen stored by the muscles cannot be beneficially used by the brain and since there is limited capacity elsewhere in the body to store carbs, the excess is now converted into the fat that is bulging your belly and other areas of your body.

Be careful of those high carb meals as they increase your glucose level, thus forcing the pancreas to get busy lowering such level by spilling insulin into the blood stream, creating another problem because we all know the nature of insulin is to store fat.

This high carb meal just created a vicious craving for more carbs due to instability in your blood sugar levels. By having this information, you are now more prepared to make proper food choices by staying away from manufactured food and cling more to natural healthy options.

Do not trust the TV commercials to determine your diet. Delicious looking food might not be good for your health. Your body is precious, protect it.
