How to Lose Belly Fat Without Pills

Being fat can negatively affect every aspect of your life. We all know the obvious advantages to knowing how to lose body fat quickly. Each of these tips, by itself, can help you lose weight. But to get rid of your belly fat -- and keep it off for good -- you're probably going to have to adhere to all of them. Not always easy to do, but definitely worth the effort!

1. It is essential to restrict or cut down on certain foodstuffs to prevent gaining excess fat. Fried and fatty foods like fried chicken, French fries, potato chips, etc. should be completely avoided. Same goes with junk food like cheese pizza, cheese sandwiches, hot dogs and cheese burgers.

2. The best diet to lose belly fat is one that incorporates several smart strategies for shrinking your belly. A good diet will offer a variety of foods that are healthy and foods that keep you naturally lean. There are certain foods such as beans and pulses that you may like to avoid as these cause bloating and can increase the size of your belly.

3. In order to lose body fat, you need to learn how to avoid "low-quality" calories -- calories which provide little or no healthy nutrition -- as much as possible. This includes pretty much all foods and beverages made with large amounts of refined sugars and/or refined flour. Most processed foods fall into this category, including almost all "snack" foods, candies, sodas, soft drinks, etc. These foods have very negative effects on your blood sugar levels and insulin production... and eating them makes it extremely difficult to lose belly fat.

4. Increase protein in your diet. Protein builds muscle tissue, which increases the metabolism and helps burn fat in the belly area. Eat protein-rich foods such as eggs, lean meats, chicken, dairy and nuts. Learning how to lose belly fat can be difficult if you've never eaten a balanced diet before. If you have been eating a lot of junk food and few fruits and vegetables, it may be a bit difficult to make the change to a balanced diet.

5. Several dairy products also contain high amounts of fats and calories. Therefore you should exclude butter, oil, cheese, margarine, peanut butter, creamy salad dressings, etc., from your diet for weight loss. As a substitute you can opt for fat-free versions.

6. Learn to identify healthier alternatives to all your favorite foods... and then always choose those alternatives. For instance, choose whole-grain breads over "white" breads. The same goes for pastas, cereals, and other baked goods. Choose grilled or baked versions of your favorite meat dishes over fried versions. When you're at a restaurant, choose a healthy side -- such as salad, soup, fruit salad, etc. -- over french fries. Remember that every time you choose the healthier alternative you're one step closer to reducing your belly fat and getting the body you want.

7. Limit carbohydrates. A low-carb diet is limited to less than 30 grams of carbohydrates a day. If you're active, you can eat 130 grams of carbs each day and still lose belly fat. Carbs turn to fat when the recommended daily intake is exceeded.
