Weight Loss Success With EFT

Mark Alexander, in his book, EFT For Weight Loss - Conquering Emotional Eating, Overeating, Cravings, Eating Disorders and Self Sabotage, says that Emotional Freedom Techniques, or 'EFT' as it is often referred to, is becoming a widely used alternative for dealing with issues about overeating and food cravings. My research into the issue also proved that more and more people that are not able to achieve weight loss with dieting and exercise alone have seen rapid results using EFT. You see to achieve lasting weight loss results, the underlying emotional triggers needed to be healed and released . So many people's weight loss problem may be little to do with the type of foods they are you are eating or the exercise regime they are following. The problem could be more about what are the deep emotional issues that need to be addressed and released.

That is not to say that good nutritional habits and physical activity are not great for a healthy lifestyle and maintaining your ideal weight , but unless you get to the root of the emotional issues, your weight loss target will remain just that, a target. If you are stuck at a particular weight, EFT can help! It does so by helping you create a balanced emotional state. When you are emotionally happy you will release the desire to overeat or eat just for comfort. So many of us, turn to food at times of stress and anxiety, as a way of avoiding painful issues or unable to get in touch with our true feelings about an issue or a situation. With some of us this negative patterning starts at a young age. In this invaluable guide Mark explains that unresolved emotional issues can create a disruption in your body's energy system. When your body's natural energy flow is thrown off or interrupted, all sorts of problems can arise. You begin to feel anxious and nervous and experience a hard time controlling your emotions. EFT can help soothe the savage beast by bringing you back to reality to deal with the issue and so creating a space and a firm foundation for the healing process to begin.

While EFT may consist of different procedures, the most common is tapping or rubbing specific parts of the body. Like acupressure or acupuncture, EFT works on the same meridian points on the body. These are called "tapping points". The process may seem simple, but with focus and commitment you can see results and changes in your eating habits. When it comes to your body image most of the time overeating stems from a dislike of your appearance; if you have always had a weight problem, your "self" image is probably very low because you've unconsciously trained yourself to dislike your body. EFT gives you specific phrases to deal with these issues. These are especially helpful during the beginning stages of your weight loss, it will help you stay on track and love the body you have as it transitions into the new one. Your main goal is to be able to remain positive and focused on the issue at hand when those negative thoughts creep up into your mind. Those negative thoughts are what create a haven for bad eating habits and poor self image.

There are many doctors who practice alternative medicine and fully support the Emotional Freedom techniques, but it also has its share of skeptics. Your best bet is to give it a try and see if it works for you. Because everyone is different, what works for you may not work for another. But one thing you probably know for sure is dieting and exercising alone is not working. How you feel about yourself affects every part of your life from your physical capabilities to your mental state. It can severely impact more than just what you eat as it tears away at your confidence, and self-belief becoming a more complex problem. Mark Alexander's EFT for Weight Loss, will set the ground work for you to succeed with your weight loss goals using EFT. Use it as a way to compliment everything you are already doing to lose weight. You owe it to yourself to give yourself he edge in winning the war against food cravings and overeating.
