In brief, food is the fuel for running the human machine therefore eating healthy is a necessity for a healthy living. But, most of us nowadays ignore this fact and consume food thoughtlessly without considering the saturated fat, toxic chemicals and sugar content present in them. All these unhealthy eating habits in course of time give rise to medical complications like obesity, high cholesterol, hypertension and diabetes.

With the advent of these chronic conditions, which require adhering to a stringent lifestyle, the once careless food habits have to be transformed to calorie restricted diet accompanied by regular exercise schedule. But people who suffer from excessive weight or obesity have to be administered weight loss medications to prevent medical risks related to obesity. Another complex condition arising out of improper eating habits is eating disorder. Although eating disorders have hardly anything to do with food or weight gain, but they are somehow inseparable. Here the person suffering from this condition, bear an intense fear about gaining weight even if he is underweight and assume that the slightest gain in weight will lead to obesity.

Eating disorder also called anorexia nervosa is a condition when the people suffering from it go on self-starvation and excessive strenuous exercising resulting in severe weight loss to the point of significant physiological consequences and might even prove fatal. A person with traits of eating disorder is generally defiant about treatment. It is the collective responsibility of people around the patient to initiate a treatment process which includes, maintaining a healthy weight, learning good eating habits and healthy living.

The art of healthy living is not in curtailing your food instincts but to eat healthy. To look good and beautiful, you need to feel beautiful from inside and for that, it is imperative to love yourself.
