Get Rid of Chronic Health Problems with Weight Loss

Although millions of people spend billions of dollars each year on different types of diets, diet plans, diet programs, diet pills and god knows what, people still are not able to lose weight. In fact 95% of people who diet fail, so the more people diet, the fatter they get. I mean obesity rates have doubled since the 1960's. The more overweight people we have, the more chronic health problems we also have.

Don´t get me wrong a lot of people are trying to lose weight but are not very successful at it because it is like swimming against the current, you just can´t win. 8 out of every 10 people are overweight or obese and the number is increasing. So it seems no matter how hard you try, nothing seems to work.

The reason why we are not able to lose weight and why we get so many chronic health problems, is really our lifestyle. I mean it sucks. If you are not physically active and if you eat the wrong foods and if you eat too much food, then guess what, you will gain weight. And over time you can develop serious health problems. If people would change their lifestyles then we would solve 90% of the chronic health problems that are around today. But instead of changes out eating and exercise habits, we just take a pill to cure all our problems. A pill does not cure the cause of chronic health problems but only cures the symptoms.

Get rid of chronic health problems with weight loss

When we are not physically active and when we eat irregularly, like skipping breakfast, then our metabolism (the furnace that burns calories) slows down, so we burn less calories. This means those extra calories that otherwise would have bees burnt will be stored as fat. There are a lot of things that you can do to boost your metabolism.

The first is vigorous physical activity that we have to maintain throughout our lives, not only for a few weeks or months. Since most of us are not living in the country, so we are not doing hard manual labour, we need to find other ways. Obviously joining a gym so you can start weight training and cardio training is the best choice, you could ever make. But very often even that may not be enough and people really have to use every opportunity to be active and not find excuses.
