True Weight Loss – What We Should Know Before Starting Another Weight Loss Program

There are a lot of pit falls out there in the health and diet industry and not everything that is being advertised is legitimate. Losing weight is attainable and achievable if you do it the correct way and are willing to learn a few basic principles.

Whatever the reason for the ever growing waist line of North Americans, we must admit that our foods are beginning to kill us. We have no idea what it means to go without food for a day, we eat constantly, and often times food is used as an addiction in the same way drugs are used by drug addicts. If all those weight-loss program are not helping, then why do people continue to buy them? Mostly because of desperation and a lack of information I think.

No more yo-yo dieting. Pick one program containing all the components of what you need and stick with it. Don't fall in the habit of following every weight reducing program that comes on the market, this can be costly not only to your pocket book but also to your health. It's time to change your focus, look at something different for a change.

For the most part we are no longer in large part an agrarian society. And even the few farmers that we do have in some cases use machines to harvest. So what do our bodies do with the excess energy? Store it.

What we eat is the number one reason most of us get fat. Most overweight persons consume lots of meat and dairy products. Meat and dairy products are very high in fat, oils, and proteins but very low in fiber

It is time to purge your cabinets of those junk, high fattening snack foods.

You don't have to lose fat that you did not put on to begin with. Let me put it another way. Well if you chose to eat two cream filled donuts that can add 800 calories to your bottom line, but what if you eat two apples instead? That is only 100 calories! So eating the apples instead of the donuts, you will not have to worry regarding losing 700 extra calories from just one meal.

You must follow a meal schedule, and the best for our bodies are as follows: 7:00 – 8:00AM breakfast this is your largest meal of the day, 11:00AM - 12:30PM Lunch medium size meal of the day and 6:00PM - 7:00pm Smallest meal of the day. You should not eat ofter 7:30pm or 3 hours before going to bed.

Our body's digestive system operates in a system like everything else, it shuts down at nights, so undigested food in the stomach can be converted to fat.

Increase the frequency or your meals from three large meals to 5 or 6 smaller size meals a day.

This is the part where you will tone and sculpt the body you might have always dreamed of. Exercise and resistance training will help you achieve your goal.
