Mistakes You Might Be Making That Slow The HCG Process

Take fat loading seriously – Not enough fat during load days (first two days of HCG) can be the beginning of the end. This might explain hunger and associated crankiness during the first week of HCG low calorie phase.

What are you wearing? – When you get on the scale, what are you wearing? Obviously, if you’re wearing a parka and boots during one weigh in and then a swimsuit the next, your weight will vary. Try to wear the same outfit or weigh in sans clothes for the most accurate weight each time.

Don't mix the veggies – Mixed veggies are not recommended on HCG – Dr. Simeons clearly states one vegetable in his protocol. It may not hinder the process too much from person to person but if you hit a plateau, you could blame the mixed veggies.

Do mix up your meats – Diet food can be boring yes, especially when calories need to be kept at a minimum but instead up mixing up your veggies, mix up your meats! Who wants chicken 5 days in a row anyway?

Be a discerning meat eater – Typical American beef is considerably fattier than what Dr. Simeonstalks about in his protocol. Try less beef, more chicken/fish/seafood. And if you must have beef, try buffalo.

Drink up that H2O – Some people simply don’t drink enough water on the HCG Weight Loss Program. You need to be drinking at the very least, 2 quarts of liquids every day. Remember, soft drinks and diet drinks are not included. Only water, tea, and coffee.

Watch those little extras – Gum, tic tacs, and other breath fresheners do have calories but do nothing to curb hunger. My point? Don’t waste those precious daily calories on them! Brush your teeth more frequently instead!

Restaurants can be your enemy – Try to lay off your visits to restaurants, especially chain restaurants as the meats can contain “extras” to make them more flavorful or may have been through processes that could hinder your weight loss. If you have a family, make one night a week out a standard instead of constantly eating out. If you’re single, tell your friends you already have dinner plans but you’d be happy to meet them out later.

Ascent Health Center’s Dr. Julie Marchiol continues to advocate for Dr. Simeons’s HCG research. She believes in his methods, and strives to help those in need achieve weight loss and a healthy lifestyle
