How To Set Your Weight Loss Target

Not many months ago, I was at my weight loss target and had maintained it for about ten years. So what happened to me to get me off that? Free food. What, you say, how did you get free food? I got a new job and with it came lots of free food and good food, too. That is, someone came in almost everyday and fed us. I found that really easy to take and took too much of it.

Guess what happened? It's pretty easy to guess. I gained back the weight I had kept off for so many years. Now my goal is to get back where I was. How did I set the goal for my weight loss target? First, I want to be able to wear the clothes in my closet and next I want to be in the normal weight category for my height. I am not looking to be skinny, just normal and that is how I set my weight loss target.

What areas do I need to target? Well, those are the story of my life and a few new ones. Now there is the usual, thunder thighs (inherited), big butt, and more belly fat. The belly fat usually comes a bit later and when it is here, it is time to look at my target for weight loss. Since I am older, I noticed that this time there is also more flab on my arms. At least, my ankles are thin. Right now, I am doing well.

What would I recommend for you since I am not a shining example of a person who has met their weight loss target? You can decide that you will join me and set your target for weight loss. What will it be? Will you decide you want to lose a dress or pant size? Will it be that you want to get back to the weight you had at your wedding if you are married? Will it be to lose those thunder thighs, that belly fat, or fat in some other area? I hope it's not a fat head.
Set your goal, your weight loss target. I will be adding more to let you know what you can do.

Start with a good mindset and make a determination that you will get to your goal. Find some motivation no matter where it comes from. Do you want to be around for your children, your parents, a special occasion? What is your motivation to do this? It might be as simple as feeling better and having more energy. The first step is to set that goal. Get that done and you will be on your way to your weight loss target.
