Loss Weight Naturally

No one wants to be fat, yet 35 percent of Americans are overweight. It is easy to gain weight but difficult to lose weight. Of course ,we all want to trim down our fat for the sake of our health or to look good. It is easier to stop putting on weight than trying to lose them later. If we do not take action, we will certainly continue to gain weight. It is never too late to start controlling your weight.

Loss weight naturally is about just one simple rule - that is eating right and exercise. However, most people who are trying to reduce weight usually stray. They tend to go back to their old schedules and habits of eating. It is usually difficult to stay focused on the diet and exercise program.

Eating the right type of food is the way to lose weight naturally. It does not involve a complicated diet that you have to follow nor a long list of calories that you need to keep counting daily.

Eating right involves a simple "high, moderate and low" approach:

High in fiber and complex carbohydrates
Moderate in protein
Low in fat

Fiber is the indigestible substance found in the outer layer of plants. Fiber slows down digestion and fills up the stomach faster. Fiber is a natural scrub for your digestive system as when you eat fiber, it passes through the small intestines, colon and out of your body. Along the way, it cleans out the toxic waste deposits inside you. And that is essentially one of the ways to lose weight naturally. High fiber foods include all fruits and vegetables, whole meal bread, whole bran cereal and muffins

Carbohydrates are essential for the body as they are the main source of energy. Complex carbohydrates consist of 3 or more single sugar molecules bond together to form a chain. Which is why complex carbohydrates are broken down more slowly than simple carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates foods include oatmeal, cornmeal, brown rice, all types of bran, potatoes and other type of root vegetables.

Food protein is the source of essential amino acids. The body needs amino acids to build new cells, repair tissues, bones, skin and organs. When there is lack of protein, cuts and wounds will not heal well. And muscles will not grow and the blood will not clot properly. Protein foods include all types of meat, beans, eggs, nuts and seeds.

Fats is one of the essential food groups that we need to eat for our source of energy. We cannot do without fat but we can control the amount of fat that we take. Choose grill food instead of fried food will definitely cut down your fat intake. Go easy on the sauces and gravies is also another way to cut down on fat. And there is one type of fat that we should avoid - that is trans fat. Trans fat are bad fats, which are dangerous to health. Trans fats are found in hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oil. These are processed oil done to preserve shelf life. Hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils are found in processed foods such as chips, cookies, peanut butter and a lot of baked goods.

Weight control is not about eating lesser but about eating the right type of food. It is better to eat small nutritious snacks every three to four hours than to eat a big meal at one go. Skip meals is the worst thing to do for weight control. To lose weight naturally is all about change your bad habits and practice good ones. Here are some simple steps that you can take to lose weight naturally:

1. Most people who are overweight, usually tend to indulge in certain type of food. The first thing to check yourself is check that favorite food of yours. Is it a low fat and nutritious food?
