This does sound really strange to people who are listening for the first time but as per the research done on various people under normal conditions it has been proved that friendship definitely helps you in some way to cut down your obesity depending on how close you are to your friends. People who always like to stay in the company of their friends are prone to remain fit and healthy because they are always happy and always moving from one place to another keeping themselves fit and healthy.

It was observed during the research that when people go to restaurants or any eateries where you can find a lot of junk food they normally share the food. People who are obese mostly have a tendency of eating a lot of food when they are upset or frustrated and that adds to their problems. However, when they are with their friends and family members they tend to share their junk food like they order pizza and different junk stuff and normally share it among themselves. This helps in cutting down the level of junk food that is normally eaten by an individual which actually helps the person to keep control over what they are eating.

Kids who are affected by health problems like obesity are often associated with problems like family problems, depression, loneliness and other psychological issues. However, when kids are with their friends they tend to move around, play video games, play outdoor games, talk and run around which helps them to burn up more calories that keeps their metabolism in check. Hence, even when they eat a lot of junk food they are busy with their activities that help them to burn all the extra calories. Similarly, if you are a senior citizen you can make friends and go for a nice walk and keep yourself happy to reduce your weight problems.

People who are working in office often don't find the time to be with their friends because they come home tired and exhausted and often head for the bed. This is certainly not good for your physical health as well as social life. As per the research people who come home from work and then spend some extra time with their friends roaming around the locality or having some fun with their companions do have a better health because they are not only happy mentally but also physically.
