How to Lose Belly Fat When Eating Out

When going out to eat or eating away from home, you can still choose foods that burn belly fat instead of high fat meals that pack on stomach fat.

It's a fact, most people will go out to eat. Americans spend almost half of their food budget on meals outside the home.

This means you have to be a little more careful when trying to eat foods that will help burn belly fat.

It's completely possible to make healthy fast food choices so you can stay within your calorie guidelines.

You don't have to stick with the typical fast food choices of greasy burgers and fries.

There are many healthier fast food options becoming available all the time.

Fast food or foods eaten outside the home do NOT have to be high-calorie and highfat food.

What you order is the key. With a little bit of detective work and asking the right questions, you can find foods that burn belly fat on just about every menu.

Now, if you don't eat out very often... it's quite okay to have a cheat meal every once in a while.

Just go ahead and order pretty much anything you want. Again, this is only for those who eat out once a week or a couple times a month.

If you eat out more often, like 2 to 3 times a week, you must be more aware of the food choices you make.

It's easy to eat an entire day's worth of fat and calories in just one fast food meal.

So here are some tips you can use to make sure you order meals that are centered around foods that will help you lose stomach fat.

Because the fact is, most fast-food meals can have as many as 1800 calories or more

So it's important that you know the nutritional value of the foods you order.

Sometimes... what you think are good choices are actually higher in calories.

Fat-free or Low-Fat items may have plenty of sugar or salt. They may be fat free, but they may still have plenty of calories, so watch out for the calorie totals of low-fat or fat-free foods.

If you're going to be eating out for a meal, make the rest of your meals that day contain the right portion of lean protein, starchy carb and fibrous carb.

Things like chicken breast, turkey, tuna, fish, broccoli, spinach, sweet potato, and brown rice are just some foods that burn belly fat.

Also, when you eat out, know your food is prepared. Chicken and fish are not healthy if they're breaded and deep fried.

Try to avoid jumbo, deluxe, biggie-sized or super-sized portions because these have more calories, fat, cholesterol, sugar and salt.

Again, you don't have to be restrictive all the time when you go out to eat. Eating out and having what you want once in a while is fine, but if you do it often, you'll really start to pack on the belly fat.

You can still enjoy yourself and make healthy choices that use foods that burn belly fat.

Here are a few more ways you can make sure you're not overdoing it on your calorie totals when you eat out.

First, you can order food to go. When you get food to go, you can choose what sides to have and you can just eat half of it now and half later.

Have an idea where you'll go and what you'll have ahead of time. You can find just about any restaurant menu online these days, so spend a few minutes finding some low-calorie options before you go.

You could even eat a small snack or salad before you go.

And definitely avoid going to buffets and if you go to a sit down restaurant, try to skip the before-dinner bread basket.

When your waiter asks for your order, ask for baked, broiled, roasted, poached or steamed meats and veggies.

Foods that are baked or steamed will be less likely to contain as many calories as their fried counterparts.

Don't be afraid to ask for your vegetables to be steamed and main dishes to be served without the sauces.

If you're out with a spouse or a group of friends, why not sample and share what you all order.

Drink at least one full-glass of water before eating. You'll eat less.

If you want to stick with foods that help burn belly fat, go with a salad with a grilled chicken breast and low calorie dressing.

Again, you'll want to order sauce and dressings on the side so you can choose how much to use.

Save dessert for later. You can go home and have a small frozen yogurt or some fresh fruits... or any other foods that will not be as high calorie as most restaurant desserts.

Bottom line, you can still go out and enjoy yourself at restaurants or fast food places. Just try and be aware of the foods you're eating and the portion sizes.

Most places these days, you can find foods that will help you burn belly fat.

The key is to plan ahead and choose foods that fit into your meal plan before you go.

One meal isn't going to ruin your chances of losing belly fat. It's the continuous process of eating poorly that will.

If you find yourself eating out more than once a week, or you can't get enough meals that have foods that burn belly fat, then start to exercise more to make up for it.
