The first thing you have to do to lose weight is to have the right diet. Most people fail to lose their belly fat because they have the wrong diet.

When you eat too fast, your body cannot detect the amount of food you had eaten. This results in overeating. I take 20 to 30 chews before my next bite. The slower pace of eating can help your body to recognize the amount of food you had ate, thus preventing overeating.

It is normal for most people to eat 3 big meals a day. However, our digestive system will not be efficient in this way and you can't increase your metabolism rate by eating 3 big meals a day. To weight and fat, you need to increase your metabolism rate and eating small meals regularly can help. Eating small meals in regular intervals can also help to prevent overeating.

3) Carbonated drinks

The sugar content is very high in carbonated drinks. It may be as high as 10 teaspoons of sugar in a can of soda. Avoid carbonated drinks and replace them with healthier choices such as plain water or tea instead. Get yourself a water bottle and bring it with you wherever you go. This will help to reduce the chances of you grabbing a bottle of soda to quench your thirst.

4) Stay away from processed food

It may be puzzling why some people fail to lose weight even when they are eating healthily. Some foods like cereals, biscuits or white breads are thought to be healthy food. However, they can cause you to gain weight instead.

Instead of cereal, you should go for oatmeal. Replace white bread with whole meal bread. Most foods that are packed in nice boxes are processed foods and they are digested fast in your stomach. This can cause your blood sugar to fluctuate a bit and you will feel hungry much faster. When you're hungry, you tend to go on a binge and overeat.

Remember this rule. Eat as much natural foods as possible. Some examples of natural foods include vegetables, nuts, meat and seeds.
